OUR HISTORY The Dixie Rose Club was organized in 1964 by fifteen Rosarians who wanted to promote the growing and nurturing of roses. Today the Dixie Rose Club remains dedicated to growing in knowledge of the rose and extending that knowledge to others. |
Every year in May our members open their gardens to the public for a tour. These are among the most beautiful rose gardens in the Memphis area. Make sure to look for our gardens on tour in the May calendar of events section of the Commercial Appeal. Drop by and see why the rose is our National flower.
September 29 through October 2, 2005 the Dixie Rose Club along with the Memphis Rose Society hosted the 2005 ARS National Rose Show and Convention. Exhibitors and Rosarians from 38 States were in attendance to exhibit roses and to share their knowledge of our National Flower.
